Moonlight Fire Now 41% Contained

Sacramento, CA — The Moonlight Fire in Plumas County is now 41 percent contained having burned a little more than 64,000 acres.
According to the CAL FIRE report the cause of this fire, which started on September 3, remains under investigation. 34-hundred firefighters continue to battle this blaze in steep, rocky terrain. Cost of fighting the Moonlight Fire to date; $15.5 million.
The “human caused” Lick Fire in Santa Clara County is now 100 percent contained having burned 47,760 acres. The cost of this fire; $10.2 million.
