Tuolumne Utilities District Begins Strategic Planning Process

Sponsored by:

Sonora, Ca — The Tuolumne Utilities District is beginning its strategic planning process this week.

TUD General Manager Pete Kampa says the goal of the Strategic Plan is to identify concerns and find solutions to problems that are of concern to residents. It will focus on areas such as future water supply, infrastructure, development, service expectations and challenges of complying with state and federal water regulations.

A community meeting will be held this Wednesday, from 7-9pm at the District´s meeting room to receive public input on what the District should include in its Strategic Plan.

TUD operates 14 water treatment plants, 75 water storage tanks, two wastewater plants and 56 miles of open ditches. The District serves nearly two billion gallons of water to approximately 13,000 customers per year.
