Lick Fire Now 100% Contained

Sacramento, CA — Firefighters continue to battle the two northern California fires that have sent smoke into the Mother Lode.
The Lick Fire in Santa Clara County, as of 8am today, is 100 percent contained. This fire has burned 48,000 acres in the Henry Coe State Park near Mt. Hamilton. The cost to date; $9.3 million.
The Plumas County Moonlight Fire six miles northeast of Greenville and 170 miles north of Modesto is only 33 percent contained as of 8am today. It has burned 63,500 acres and has already cost the state $12.8 million.
