ATV Accident Claims Life Of Stockton Resident

Sonora, CA — A 55 year old unidentified Stockton resident died following an ATV accident on a dirt forest road in the Herring Creek area of Tuolumne County early Saturday afternoon.

According to the CHP report 58 year old Prudencio Farinas, also of Stockton, was a passenger on the ATV that began sliding back down a steep grade. The ATV overturned and rolled three times down the hill.

Farinas pushed the vehicle off both men. The driver was conscious at that time but was not breathing when Farinas returned with help.

CPR was administered but to no avail. Captain Ron Fink of the Tuolumne County Fire Department pronounced the driver dead at 1:02pm.
