Angels Camp Robbery Suspect Still At Large

Angels Camp, CA — Authorities are still looking for a man who is suspected of robbing the Altaville Market Friday evening.

Angels Camp Police Chief Tony Tacheira says at 4:53 p.m. Friday, a female store clerk reported that she was robbed at knife-point by a white male.

The woman says she was making change for the man when he reached into the cash drawer and began taking money. He then opened a buck knife and started waiving it at her. He said,Give me all your money. I´m robbing you.”

She was ordered to get onto the floor while he made his escape. Witnesses gave police the license plate of the Green Dodge Ram pick up he was driving, which was stolen out of Oakley, CA.

CHP later found the pick up in the Ironhorse Campground at New Melones Reservoir. The suspect fled the area on foot but was soon lost in the thick brush.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s about 6´ tall with a thin build. He has long dirty blond hair that he wore in a ponytail. At the time of the crime he was wearing a black baseball cap backwards and a red long sleeve shirt with blue jeans.
