Sonora Woman Arrested After Leaving Child In Vehicle Unattended
Sonora, Ca — 21-year-old Sara Noel Kelley of Sonora has been arrested for child endangerment after a Tuolumne County Sheriff´s deputy found her eight month old son sleeping in a vehicle with the engine and air conditioning running.
The BMW SUV was parked outside a hair salon at 11281 Hwy 49. The deputy located Kelley inside the business getting her hair done and placed her under arrest. Investigation showed that the child had been in the vehicle unattended for 20-30 minutes, and the Sheriff´s Office says this is not the first time that the child had been left in her vehicle in such a manner.
The son was turned over to Child Welfare Services.
