Animal Control Seeks Dog That Bit Jamestown Women

Jamestown, CA — Tuolumne County Animal Control is searching for a dog that bit two women on Jamestown Rd. near Larue Rd. Tuesday morning.

Animal Control Manager Jennifer Clarke says a middle aged woman was walking two dogs and a third dog walked up and a fight started between the canines.

Two women saw the fight and ran over and tried to break up the animals. The two females were bit by a German Shepherd that was being walked by the unknown middle aged woman.

Animal Control is seeking information because they need to quarantine the dog and observe it for rabies. The number to call during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9am-3pm) is 694-2730. The after hours contact is 533-5815.
