Hwy 108 Fatality Update

Sonora, CA — According to C.H.P. Officer Tom Wills the driver of a Saburu, one of three vehicles involved in the accident, died at the scene marking the fifth traffic related fatality of the year in Tuolumne County.

The headon accident occured minutes before three o’clock when an eastbound mid ’80’s Ford Bronco veered into the westbound lane and collided with the Subaru driven by a 59 year old Soulsbyville resident.

The Bronco then collided with a Toyota Highlander. The driver of the latter was not injured. The driver of the former, initially identified as a 60 year old Sonora female, was lifeflighted to Modesto North Hospital.

Identities of those involved have yet to be released.
