New Era For Angels Camp

A new era begins for Angels Camp, Thursday at 5:30pm and the public is invited.

Angels Camp would like to be known as a destination resort for all things synonymous with regional outdoor mountain sports and the unveiling of Monte, the official town mascot (and fiberglass frog) will help to pave the way.

Ann Forrestt, Chairman of Brand Leadership Team, was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

Forrestt hopes the marketing campaign and overall program will help to create a well known and thriving community, which will act as a base camp for adventure seeking and highly active outdoor tourists. In turn, says Forrestt, this will help to create local jobs and a much healthier downtown area that would help fill up many of the now vacant buildings.

The unveiling celebration of Monte, will take place in downtown Angels Camp on Main Street in front of Vintage Realty. There will be music, refreshments and speeches.  The public is invited to attend.
