Washington, DC – Congressman Jeff Denham is urging federal lawmakers to make it easier for water to flow to central valley farmers.
Denham spoke about the San Joaquin Water Reliability Act in Washington, DC this week. Denham’s comments are included in the myMotherlode.com blog section and can be viewed by clicking here. You can also click on the video included with the blog to see what Denham had to say.
The issue is expected to be controversial. Democratic Congressman John Garamendi has released a statement this morning criticizing the legislation, saying the bill could “reignite water wars.”
Denham, a Republican, represents District 19, which includes Tuolumne County.
