A Rare Full Moon Tonight
Sponsored by:
Sonora, CA– Weather permitting, tonight could be an excellent time to view a rare celestial event.
NASA says the moon will appear 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than usual. This “perigee” moon will look larger than usual because when the moon is at perigee, it is closest to the earth.
Saturday’s full “perigee” moon will be the biggest in 20 years and will not occur again until 2029.
