Major Injury Accident In Jamestown
Jamestown, CA– A two vehicle accident in Jamestown this morning caused major injuries.
According to the CHP, a family from Roseville in a mini van was heading towards Yosemite on northbound Highway 108 south of Bell Mooney Road, when the driver, 36-year-old Nages Radhakrishnan realized he had missed the Yosemite turnoff.
He turned into the driveway of Hurst Ranch Supply and prepared to turn left to get back in the southbound lane, but failed to check the traffic and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The vehicle driven by 76-year-old Irvin Baptist from Hughson, was a pickup truck pulling a 5th wheel trailer. Traveling at 50 mph, the pickup struck the left side passenger door of the mini van and injured a 6-year-old boy. The boy sustained major injuries and was flown to U.C Davis Medical Center.
Radhakrishnan and the other two passengers in the mini van reported minor injuries and were transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center. No injuries were reported from Baptist and his passenger.
