Saturday Mother Lode Events
Here are a few of the events happening this weekend.
First, Omega Nu’s Annual Upscale Rummage Sale begins today, Feb. 8th, the doors are open from 5:30pm – 8:00pm. Admission is $15.00 including a silent auction, collectibles, complimentary refreshments, and an advance sale of all items in the John Muir Building, at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
Saturday the doors are open for the rummage sale only from 8:30am to 12:30pm and admission is free. More details on what is for sale are in the event listing.
Sonora’s 2nd Saturday Art Night begins at 5pm. BZ Smith, volunteer coordinator, says, “Come stroll historic downtown Sonora and celebrate Tuolumne County’s vibrant arts and cultural life.” Twenty-five participating galleries, music clubs, theatre, restaurants and shops will offer art demonstrations, live music, and receptions. The InFocus Art Show theme is “On the Wild Side” with visiting live critters, the Big Lebowski Costume Party, the Joey Peralta Urban Art Show at Backspace and more. The event is supported by Central Sierra Arts Council, Mother Lode Art Association, Habitat for Humanity, Hive-Arts.Org and other local businesses. For more information view the event listing.
The 12th Annual scholarship dinner hosted by Emigrant Basin Pack and Social Club begins at 5:00pm at the Sonora Elk’s Lodge. Over in Wallace at the Tri Lakes Baptist Church will host a Crab Feed Outreach Fundraiser at 5pm. Tri-tip available for non-crab eaters and child care is provided. For ticket prices and details visit the event listing.
