A woman is dead and one man is injured after a robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in Burlingame. The woman, a 34-year-old bank employee, died Friday at Stanford Medical Center after she was shot in the abdomen. The man, who is in his 40´s, is also a bank employee. He was shot in the left shoulder and is in stable condition. Police say two to three men armed with handguns came in through the back door of the bank. Police Chief Gary Missel says the woman was trying to close a door to protect herself when she was hit by gunfire. The man was hiding behind his desk. The masked men then ran out the front door and fled through Burlingame´s business district on Burlingame Avenue. The robbers are still on the loose. Police say they have only a vague description of the suspects.
