Stayner Not “Sexual Sadist” Says Doctor
Although Yosemite killer Cary Stayner was a sexual deviant, his actions in killing four people during a murderous rampage in 1999 did not elevate him to the level of a sexual sadist.
That´s the opinion of a forensic psychiatrist called handyman´s murder trial on Friday.
Fred Berlin examined Stayner earlier this week. He says there´s no question Stayner knew the difference between right and wrong. But he says he does not think Stayner was capable of controlling his actions.
Berlin´s appearance on the stand is the final attempt by Stayner´s attorneys to convince a jury that he should not be executed for his crimes because he was unable to control his overwhelming urges toward violence.
