Virus Could be Killing Deer in Sierra Foothills

State fish and game officials believe a virus is killing deer in the foothill areas of Placer, Nevada and El Dorado counties. They´ve received numerous reports of dead deer in the three-county area.
Autopsies found the AHD virus in two deer carcasses.
There is no treatment for the disease but deer can survive an infection.
