Davis Calls Recall an “Insult” to Voters
Some strong words from Governor Gray Davis about the effort to recall him. He calls it an insult to those who voted for him last year. But, Davis also says he´s going to “suppress those negative feelings” and channel his energy into doing something positive for the people of California.
Davis acknowledges that many people signed the recall petitions, adding that he´s “gotten the message.” But, he also says the recall drive is “an insult to the 8 million people who went to the polls last November and decided I should be governor.”
