Calaveras County Sheriffs have arrested an Arnold man in connection with the murder of 52-year-old Brad Davis whose bullet-riddled body was found Sunday behind White Pines Lake.
The 39-year-old Arlin Crawford is being held without bail in connection with the murder of Davis.
During a search of Crawford´s Splash Dam Loop home in Arnold earlier this week, SWAT team members found a large marijuana growing operation, narcotics and several explosive devices with fuses attached. Homes in the area were evacuated while bomb squad personnel removed the 10- to 12-inch cyclinder cardboard pipes filled with explosives.
Crawford was not home at the time of the initial entry, but arrived home during the search and was placed under arrest. Several children were also in the home and have been placed in protective custody. Crawford is also charged with child endangerment.
Police say other evidence connecting Crawford with the Davis homicide has been found as well.
