Police in San Francisco are getting ready for more anti-war protests today — but they don´t expect them to be as large as last week´s demonstrations. Protesters pretty much took the day off yesterday. But they´ve announced plans to gather at the foot of busy Market Street this morning.
Authorities say commuters planning to drive into the city should be prepared for some delays. They also say they will have more than half the city´s 2,300 officers on the streets to keep traffic moving and doors to office buildings clear.
City officials say each day of protest is costing the city about $900,000.
