Air Pollution Bills Revised

A San Joaquin Valley state senator has revised a set of bills aimed at cutting air pollution in the valley. Shafter Democrat Dean Florez has ditched a bill that would ban most wood-burning fireplaces in new homes. He has also scrapped provisions in another bill that would have required cars newer than 45 years to undergo smog check tests.
