Trash Truck Backs Over Merced County Worker

An accident at the Merced County Landfill left a county employee dead yesterday.
The victim has not been named, until relatives can be notified.
He was working at his job as a spotter for garbage trucks at the landfill when officials say a garbage truck backed over him.
The driver of the truck, 56-year-old Charles Wohlgemuth, apparently didn´t see the victim until witnesses motioned for him to stop backing up.
The severely injured man was flown to Doctors Hospital where he died of his injuries at 4:30 yesterday.
The investigation into the accident continues.
