Sonora High School Conducting Self-Study
Sonora, CA — Sonora High School is in the beginning stages of conducting a self-study for accreditation.
The Western Association of Schools & Colleges granted Sonora High School two, three year terms at their last visit and Principal Terry Clark says it´s time to do it all over again.
Clark says it is a lengthy process that involves analyzing student work, parent interaction, evaluating school organization, and looking at the long-term plan.
A Parent Focus Group Meeting is scheduled in February to get a better idea what parents think the school can improve on.
The process will culminate during the next school year, when a group of WASC professionals visit the school and validate the self-report for accreditation.
