Calaveras County To Distribute Transportation Grants
San Andreas, CA — More than one million dollars in state transportation money is being made available to community groups interested in making improvements in Calaveras County.
The Calaveras Council of Governments will be distributing the money in an effort to improve the county´s transportation system.
The funds can be used for a variety of projects, including bike or pedestrian trails, preservation, landscaping or pollution reduction. The council says the grants must be a minimum of $100,000 each.
The council will also be holding a workshop for applicants on December 20th at the Calaveras County Central Library on Mountain Ranch Road. The application deadline is March 31st.
