Training Prepares CDF Firefighters For California Fire Season
Sponsored by:
Sonora, CA — Fire agencies throughout the state are actively preparing for this year´s Fire Season.
Among them, the California Department of Forestry (CDF) and Fire Protection is one of the lead agencies.
To train their seasonal firefighting force, the CDF is conducting a 10-day Firefighter Academy, running from June 13th to the 22nd.
Now in its third year, the program is a partnership between the CDF and Columbia College in Sonora.
The training in wild land and structural fire control techniques result in certification, which is a CDF requirement for all its firefighters.
