Investigators Look Into Fatal Trailer Fire

Sonora, CA — Fire investigators are on the scene of a structure fire that destroyed a travel trailer early this morning.
CDF says crews arrived at the property on Shaws Flat Road between Jamestown and Columbia just before 7:00 to find the trailer fully involved. Investigators say the trailer was a total loss and there was one fatality.
Tuolumne County Fire along with Sonora Fire Department and CDF responded with five engines and two command vehicles.
Damage to the trailer and its contents is estimated at $15,000.
The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of relatives.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
