HWY 120/108 Still Closed At Lovers Leap

Knights Ferry, CA — Hwy 120/ 108 at Lovers Leap in Knights Ferry is closed in both directions due to a head on collision earlier this afternoon.
2 women were killed and 2 children were taken to hospitals in Madera and UC Davis via medical helicopter with major injuries.
According to a CHP spokesperson the road will be closed until around 6 or 7 this evening.
CHP is advising drivers to avoid the area if at all possible. However Cal Trans is diverting Eastbound traffic at Lancaster and Westbound traffic at Kennedy.
