President’s Approval Rating Drops To All-Time Low In California
Sacramento, CA — A new poll shows that only about a-third of the people of California approve of the job President Bush is doing.
Results from the Field Poll released this morning show that 34 percent of the Californians surveyed gave the president a favorable rating.
The results are the lowest rating for President Bush in the state since he took office in January 2001.
The Field Poll also shows that an even smaller group (28 percent) support the president´s handling of the war in Iraq.
Opinions of Bush differed sharply between Democrats and Republicans. Eighty-five percent of Democrats said they disapprove of Bush, while 71 percent of Republicans said they have a favorable view of him.
The survey was conducted over a seven-day period ending Sunday, and was drawn from interviews with 491 adults.
