San Andreas, CA– The American Farm Bureau Federation announced today that it is teaming up with the National Ground Water Association to begin a groundwater education campaign.
For most folks in the Mother Lode that means well maintenance.
According to a recent Farm Bureau publication, more than 12 million households nationwide depend on wells for their water supply.
The bureau says there are two aspects to well maintenance and water safety. They are annual well checkups and water testing.
Additionally, not maintaining a well properly can lead to contamination problems and annual water testing is important.
