Sonora, Ca — Solid waste collection rates will be going up in Tuolumne County.
Today, the Board of Supervisors approved a 3.9 percent increase across the board. The Supervisors cited that the raise was based on the Consumer Price Index.
Customers of Cal Sierra Disposal and Burns Refuse Services will also be paying additional fuel costs.
For the majority of the county, the rates will be retroactive to October 1st. Some areas in the southern portion of the county will not go into effect until January 1st.
