Sheriff Gets 300K Grant
San Andreas, CA — Calaveras will see a crackdown on methamphetamine thanks to a $300,000 grant.
The grant comes from the state Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team Grant program.
The money will be used to target methamphetamine manufacturers and distributors. A second component protects endangered children exposed to drugs.
A multi-jurisdictional team will be assembled and three vehicles will be purchased with the grant money to help carry out its mission.
