Road Issue Goes To A Vote
San Andreas, CA — Whether residents in the Bar XX subdivision want to pay for $1.2 million in road improvements will be the question of a special election next March.
Monday the Board of Supervisors approved loaning the money to the Bar XX Community Service Area pending approval of a special tax to repay the loan.
Currently residents pay $175 to $225 per parcel for road maintenance.
This new additional special tax would fund $1.2 million worth of road projects including redesigning the entrance to the subdivision.
A group of residents erupted in applause at the approval of the loan and the call for the special election.
