Annual Holiday Food Drive Getting Underway

San Andreas CA — Santa´s Express is getting underway as soon as it can come up with a few good elves.
Since 1980 the Santa´s Express program has been put on by the Human Resource Council to distribute food, clothing and toys to disadvantaged families during the holidays.
This year´s goal is to provide 600 families with a holiday basket at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
HRC Director Billie Westernoff says volunteers are the backbone of the organization.
Interested volunteers will meet Monday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Women´s Crisis Center on 1404 Gold Hunter Road in San Andreas.
