Four Teenagers Involved In Sunday Morning Accident

Sonora, CA — Four teenagers were involved in a single vehicle accident during the four o´clock hour Sunday morning.

According to the Highway Patrol, 17 year old Cory Staats of Sonora was driving a 1991 GMC Jimmy. As he made a right hand turn onto Dodge Ridge Road from Gooseberry Creek Rd., the vehicle fishtailed. Staats overcorrected to the right, ran off the road and then overcorrected back to the left. The Jimmy slid sideways and overturned onto its roof before landing upright.

17 year old Lauren Jacobs of Twain Harte was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Staats suffered lacerations to both arms. He did not require hospitalization. The other occupants, 17 year old Kelsie Proctor and 17 year old Eric Gold of Sonora, sought their own medical aid.
