By H. Randolph HolderThe $400 Governor Newsome is planning to send to every Californian won’t last very long when each gallon of gas we buy carries $1.27 in taxes, soon to be $1.30 as of July 1. The question is, “Why are electric vehicle owners also getting this rebate when they don’t buy gas, so don’t pay the tax while driving on the same roads?”
