San Andreas, CA — It´s been discussed for years, and Monday, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will formally talk about an update to the General Plan.
The meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the San Andreas Town Hall.
Community groups that have formed to keep an eye on growth have recently put pressure on the county to update its policies or pass a building moratorium.
That last General Plan updates were performed in 1986 and 1996. They are typically done every 10 years.
Planning Director Bob Sellman will lead the discussion. County Planner John Anderson said the department would recommend that a consultant be hired for the update citing a personnel shortage.
