Deputies Looking For ATM Robbery Suspect
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department is investigating a robbery in the parking lot of the East Sonora branch of Bank of America last night.
Officers say an unidentified female was in the process of making a deposit into the ATM just before 9:30 when she was approached by a man wearing a sweatshirt.
A report says the man had his hand in his shirt as he demanded the woman´s money.
After taking the money from the woman the man then reportedly ran around the back of the building toward Peaceful Valley Road.
A search of the area failed to turn up the suspect. The woman was not injured. Deputies describe the suspect as a man in his mid 20s, light brown to reddish mustache and goatee.
He was wearing a tan, hooded sweatshirt, jeans and possibly a dark colored beanie.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department.
