Sheriff’s Department Confirms Identity Of Missing Fisherman

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department has confirmed the identity of a body found at New Melones Reservoir Monday.
Officials say autopsy results confirm the remains as those of 59-year-old Doug Ramsey of Valley Springs.
Ramsey was reported missing after he failed to return from a fishing trip at the reservoir Christmas Eve.
His truck and trailer were later located at the Tuttletown Boat Launch and his boat was found beached on the reservoir´s south shore. A six-day search of the reservoir turned up nothing.
Ramsey´s body was finally located at about 11:30 Monday morning.
