Sonora Regional Receives Top Honors

Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center´s Community Home Care is receiving top honors by the National Hospitalization Reduction Study, which is co-sponsored by the National Association for Home Care.

The facility was recently named a Best Practice Agency for placing in the top 10 percent of the 7500 Medicare certified home health agencies in the United States.

Director Michael Sobelman says the goal of the agency is to enable individuals to stay home for the course of their recovery.

The study is a national effort to identify the best practice agencies for the reduction of unplanned hospitalizations.

It also provides a forum for the exchange of information between home health agencies.

Community Home Health Care provides skilled, in-home services to homebound patients in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.
