Affordable Housing Ordinance Sent To Planning Commissions
Sonora, Ca — By a vote of 3-2, the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors has voted to take a step forward with a revised inclusionary housing ordinance.
The “5-10-15” plan requires that housing developments with five or more units have 10 percent set aside as affordable housing. Those units will remain in that category for a period of 15 years.
The ordinance now goes to the County´s four planning commissions for review, and then will be sent back to the Board of Supervisors at a later date for final approval. Voting in favor were Supervisors Mark Thornton, Teri Murrison and Paolo Maffei. In opposition were Dick Pland and Liz Bass.
