Project HOPE Ready To Hit The Road

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center´s Project HOPE health van will hopefully hit the road next week.

S.R.M.C. Marketing Director Gail Witzlsteiner says the $200,000 health van has been funded by community support … most recently by the hospital fund raising golf tournament.

The free health services will be provided by Nurse Practicioner Christy Peterson. Services will include general checkups, blood pressure, non-evasive treatment, episodic care and minor injuries. Peterson is also qualified to write prescriptions.

The health van´s clinic is scheduled for Monday and Friday Wal Mart visits and in the near future Project HOPE will spend a day at Columbia College.

Project HOPE (Health-Outreach-Prevention-Education) made its debut at the recently held Tuolumne County Health Fair at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
