Sacramento, CA — California lawmakers will pick up discussions about the budget deficit on the day after Christmas.
The Associated Press reports that the Big Five legislative leaders are planning to sit down and negotiate a solution.
When talks resume Friday, they´ll likely be by teleconference with the Governor because he has left California for the Christmas holiday.
A legislative vote on a compromise could come next week. Finance officials are warning that California will run out of money in about two months unless lawmakers take action.
