Foothill Farmlands Arts Festival is a week long event that will be held at several locations throughout Tuolumne County from Saturday September 6th through Saturday September 13th.
B.Z. Smith is the Community Arts Coordinator for the Central Sierra Arts Council and was the Wednesday morning KVML Newsmaker of the Day.
Smith said, “This is about the best of Tuolumne County. We wanted to get our artists, performers, food growers, cooks and musicians onto our local farmlands and celebrate what it is that is so special about living here in the Sierra foothills.”
A few of the locations where events will be held include Mt. Brow Winery, Hurst Ranch, Aspen Meadow and the Twain Harte Tree Farm.
Some of the events are free of charge while tickets are required at others, which benefits the Central Sierra Arts Council, farms of Tuolumne County and the Stanisluas National Forest
For a complete list of events log onto www.farmart.org or call (209) 532-2787 for ticket information
The Newsmaker of the Day can be heard each weekday morning at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47 on AM-1450 KVML.
