Mother Nature Doesn’t Cooperate For Lunar Eclipse Viewers

Columbia, CA — Mother Nature proved to be a spoiler Wednesday evening for those lunar eclipse viewers who ventured out to Columbia College.
A heavy cloud cover disappointed the 50 or so that wanted to witness the 5:43pm full lunar eclipse at the school´s observatory.
Wayne Christensen (pictured second from left in the red jacket), the college´s community education astronomy instructor, hosted the event.
Observers were invited to either use the observatory or bring their own telescopes for the eclipse.
The next full lunar eclipse is scheduled for December, 2010.
