Upper Cow Creek Underburn Underway

Sonora, CA — The 165 acre Upper Cow Creek Underburn is scheduled to start today one half mile north of Strawberry between Hwy 108 and Forest Roads 5N11 and 5N12 at sections 8, 9, 10, Range 18E and Township 4N.
The burn is divided into two units of 108 acres and 57 acres. Ignition time frames may vary with weather and fuel moisture conditions.
Smoke may be visible from Hwy 108 with some down canyon drift smoke visible in the evening and early morning hours.
