Calaveras Supervisors To Handle Many Resolutions

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County supervisors will be handling a myriad of resolutions during today’s third meeting of the month.

The supervisors will adopt a resolution authorizing the Sheriff to apply for and receive $35,659 in funding from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Forumla Program to be used for gang enforcement activities within the county.

A resolution will be adopted to approve an award of $174,926 in California Boating Safety and Enforcement Program revenues for 2009/10.

The supervisors will adopt a resolution authorizing execution of an agreement with the California Department of Transportation under which the county would receive $256,676 for participation in the Federal Apportionment Exchange Program and State Match Program during 2008/09.

Of great significance the supervisors will consider approval of Scope of Work and Contract in an amount not to exceed $3,750,000 with PSA/Dewberry, Inc. to provide architectural services for the proposed 240 bed Adult Detention Facility.

At 9:30 this morning a public hearing is scheduled regarding the adoption of updates and revisions to the Bret Harte Benefit Basin. The supervisors may adopt an interim emergency measure resolution updating the Bret Harte Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee Program for a period of 30 days (4/5 vote required).
