Sonora, CA– A new mural at the Tuolumne County Library was unveiled today. A project of the Sonora Sunrise Rotary, the Tuolumne County Children’s Library Mural and Renovation Project showcases the 800 square foot mural painted by Twain Harte resident Tracy Knopf.

The ribbon-cutting event featured several speakers including the artist, District 1 Supervisor Liz Bass, County Counsel Gregory Oliver, Sunrise Rotary Club President Bob Hoyt and Kurt Vandeweide, Representative for Congressman Radanovich.

The colorful green mural features native plants and animals of the Mother Lode and will serve as an educational tool for children visiting the library.
