Sonora, CA — Area residents have an opportunity this evening to share public safety and criminal activity concerns directly with the Tuolumne County Sheriff.
Sheriff Jim Mele has scheduled a town hall meeting for this evening, the latest in a periodic series of outreach community events. As he has frequently stated before, the sheriff considers these forum-style meetings invaluable opportunities to remain in close touch with community members while also allowing residents direct access to him along with deputies and other office personnel.
In addition to hearing an overview presentation and local details of current department activities and crime trends members of the public will be encouraged to ask questions and share information about worries in their neighborhoods.
The hours of tonight’s event are from 6 to 8 p.m. It is being hosted at the American Legion Hall in Twain Harte, located at 18775 Manzanita Drive.
