CA Controller’s Report Details Local Utility District Salaries

The California Controller’s Office has released details about the salaries and benefits paid to local utilities district employees like TUD, CCWD and GCSD.

The data, from 2015, only lists the various positions within the districts and not the employee names. You can find information about district’s in Tuolumne County by clicking here and Calaveras County by clicking here. A snapshot is included below.

The Tuolumne Utilities District had 92 employees and the average wage was $59,649 and the average amount of retirement and health benefits paid equaled $24,341. The highest paid employee was the General Manager receiving $180,259 in salary and $27,297 in benefits.

The Calaveras County Water District had 71 employees that made an average salary of $76,412 and received $25,794 in benefits. The Director of Utility Services was the highest paid employee with $167,980 in salary and $43,674 in benefits.

The Groveland Community Services District had 38 employees with an average wage of $24,023 and the amount paid in benefits was $9,230. The top earner was the General Manager making $137,808 in salary and $13,577 in benefits.
