Original post 5-13-16 at 3 p.m.: Pine Mountain Lake, CA – Verizon customers in the Pine Mountain Lake area have been without cell service since mid-morning Friday.

Initial emails and calls came into Clarke Broadcasting from customers just before 2 p.m. However, those individuals noted that they had been without service for “several hours.”   Verizon Senior Public Relations Consultant Heidi Flato confirmed that technicians are aware of the issue. She indicated that they are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible but had no details on exactly what the “issue” is at this time.

With regards to the number of customers affected in the outage Flato states, “There’s no way to determine that stat. The issue affects geography surrounding the particular cell site. We don’t know how many Verizon customers may or may not be in the area trying to use the service at any given time.”

The company has given no estimated time of repair.
