T.U.D. Approves Drought Relief Project

Sponsored by:

Columbia, CA — The T.U.D. Board of Directors has approved a contract for a drought relief project along Douglassville Mine Road in Columbia.

It will help supply water to three properties currently experiencing well failures. It involves constructing 300 linear ft. of six inch diameter water main, and a fire hydrant. Funding for the project will be provided through set aside state drought relief dollars, allocated by the State Water Resources Control Board.

Five contractors submitted bids for the work, and Lovett Excavation Inc. had the low bid, at $27,500. The project was approved by the T.U.D. Board of Directors last night, 5-0.
